  7. Verne's FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON. Verne, writing in the 19th century was
  8. one of the great pioneers of early SF and wrote other such fanciful works as
  9. JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH and also many short stories with a
  10. futuristic theme. Revolutionary in their time, they laid the foundations we

  18. French author. Born at Nantes, he went to Paris to establish a reputation as
  19. a writer of traveller's tales which show scientific prevision:
